This has been quite a year, starting with losing my Mom on day one. A friend of mine told me when she passed, “Give yourself a year.” That was great advice.

My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.” Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness.
As I write this today my Mama has just chosen to do hospice. She is at the end of her race and is at peace and ready to go be with the Lord. We don’t know the day and time of her home-going but He does.

There are so many distractions and stressors in the world we live in and also the holidays provide their own kinds of distractions and stresses! You might not necessarily think that being childlike would have much to do with these, but it truly does.
