OUR VISION

Radius Ministries is a 501-C3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2011 by Michael and Terri Sullivant. Our vision is to connect people relationally to the presence, power, and wisdom of God. We believe that God is ushering in a reformation of greater hope, love, and joy among his people, and we seek to help facilitate this movement.

Radius Ministries fosters three things wherever we go: healthy relationships, hearty theology, and holistic spirituality.. We believe that these essential elements create rich environments for the Trinity to envelop individuals, marriages, families, faith communities, and other groups within diverse cultures.

Radius Ministries is actively engaged in church planting, pastoring, coaching, public speaking, writing books and blogs, leader development, mentoring, hosting retreats, and consulting. We are committed to forming a Christ-centered relational-base to all life and ministry. We often find ourselves simply watering what God has planted, and we feel honored to have so many opportunities to worship and follow Jesus the Lord.

• Healthy Relationships means helping people become well-bounded in their relationships with others. Radius Ministries believes that secure and loving relational attachments are essential for a healthy and fulfilling life. We offer resources that help people build strong marriages, families, and friendships.
• Hearty Theology means helping people become well-grounded in their faith. Radius Ministries believes that a strong foundation in biblical theology is essential for living a vibrant Christian life.
• Holistic Spirituality means helping people become well-rounded in their spiritual journey. Radius Ministries believes that the Christian life is not just about head knowledge, but also about heart transformation. They offer resources and programs that help people grow in their relationship with God, their understanding of the Bible, and their ability to live out their faith in everyday life.

OUR STORY

We are servants of Jesus, parents, grandparents, coaches, pastors, and teachers.

Michael grew up in the Detroit, Michigan area and Terri, in Mechanicsburg, Ohio. We both became followers of Jesus in our late teens, in the early 1970′s, and began active ministry on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio during a genuine visitation of God in which many fellow students came to faith in Jesus. Our spiritual roots are in Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship and in a Bible study Michael led that quickly became a student church…the Upper Room Fellowship.

We were married in 1977 and we are more in love than ever after all these years!  We have been involved in pastoring, teaching, starting and serving churches and ministering in many places around the country and in over 20 nations since that time. In 1987 we moved to Kansas City to continue our journey in ministry with Christ. 

Once in Kansas City, Michael served in senior pastoral leadership at Metro Christian Fellowship for 21 years. We retired from our pastorate in 2007 to follow a specific leading of the Lord in our lives to enter the marketplace for a season.

We have 5 adult children who are all married and following Christ with passion in their various fields and disciplines. We presently have 15 grandchildren and are praying for more to come! Becoming grandparents over the last 13 years has been a highlight of our lives.

We started Radius Ministries to help facilitate our work and influence beyond our local community. Since then, it has grown to include more than we imagined. This includes planting and sponsoring a new small-group church based in Kansas City, and serving as an umbrella organization for several other grass-roots initiatives that have grown out of our deep relational connections.

In addition to co-leading Radius Ministries, Terri is a professional coach and Michael is the Director of Relational Networks for Life Model Works, which is bringing the latest and best brain science to bear upon spiritual formation. He also coaches a number of leaders from across the country to help them recover and sustain their joy in following Jesus in all of life.
