These verses are so familiar to many of us who know and love Jesus.
What does it really mean to abide in him?
It seems like the key to almost everything in life.
If we want to become mature human beings, spiritually and relationally mature, this is the way.
I wrote my book The Divine Invitation: Entering the Dance of Becoming Fully Alive as a pathway to maturity for women who love Jesus. That’s what I believe it means to be fully alive. Fully mature.
In the book, I use the metaphor of the dance for a graceful, connected relationship with God. I think it’s a perfect picture of what it takes to abide in Him. You learn the steps, and then you learn to be in-sync, attuned to one another. When you dance with Him, you are forever changed, more virtuous, more like Him. I wrote this book with the hope that women everywhere in living rooms and churches would study it together in groups. As of now it is available in several formats, including audiobook, on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million and anywhere books are sold. I have free study guides for facilitators and participants available now on my website here.
