Micah 6:8 – He has shown you, O man what is good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
We are living in a time of cultural upheaval that reminds me of the 1960’s and 1970’s when I was growing up and becoming an adult. Our society has always needed reformation, both now and then.
Since that time there has been some progress, some things have changed for the better. But when something like the tragic death of George Floyd happens, it lets us know that we still have a long way to go.
What happened in Minnesota on May 25, 2020 was a terrible tragedy. The cry for justice that has gone up is warranted, it was a crime. With the sentencing of the police officers, justice is being served.
In Micah 6:8 it is made clear to us that there are 3 things God requires – 1. Do justly, 2. Love mercy, 3. Walk humbly with your God.

I believe that if we come to God and humble ourselves, He will help us to change our world by doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with our God. We need all 3, not just 1 or 2. This is what I’m pursuing. Would you join me?
