I had a dream. A long long time ago, in 1990.
I knew that one day I would write a book about it.
Twenty-seven years later I began to write, after I knew I had lived the dream enough to have a story about every part of it.
The book is called “The Divine Invitation: Entering the Dance of Becoming Fully Alive”.
Written primarily for women, but also full of great stuff for men, this book is about having the kind of relationship with Jesus that results in the virtuous character of Christ being formed in you. It’s about connecting with Jesus’s thoughts, words, emotions and behaviors, like two people dancing skillfully and gracefully, fully in tune with each other.
Kary Oberbrunner, founder of Author Academy Elite, was the coach and teacher I needed to write the book. There’s a saying I love, “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” In 2017 and 2018 that happened.
Then I went on in 2019 to publish with Morgan James Publishing, a New York based publishing house that partners with Author Academy Elite, Kary’s organization. I’m so grateful for these people who helped make my dream a reality!
After the book, came the audiobook and now I’ve just completed my beta version of The Divine Invitation Video Study Guide!
For years I’ve done book studies and Bible studies in the homes of friends using a video study guide to go along with a book.
