“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5,6 NKJV
Can you think of one time in your life when this verse doesn’t apply? I can’t! Every moment of every day in all seasons of life, trusting God with all your heart is the single most important focus for us all.
Where the human race went wrong in the first place was distrusting God. Sadly, when the serpent deceived Adam and Even into believing that God wasn’t trustworthy, the unbroken relationship they had trustingly enjoyed with the Lord ended. They lost their way and sought to find their own way to their own peril.
Ever since we have lived in a fallen, broken world that has lost its’ way. But when we trust in Jesus, the Savior of the world, we once again find our way. Through Him we have a restored relationship with God and we can discover the path He has designed for us. None of us were intended to live independent of God – we find freedom in dependence upon Him.
Trusting Him is like breathing, it fills our beings with the life-giving breath of life that permeates the very cells of our beings.
Live your life leaning on Him in absolute trust and you will find yourself walking on the path He intended for you when He made you!
