As 2020 comes to a close, I’m wondering what your musings are. How are you doing in response to what we are facing in our world – to the political, racial and health concerns we are presently in?
Every one of us knows that things are not as they should be. But do we really know what it looks like for things to be as they are intended to be?
The truth is, we discover the way things ‘should and could be’ from our connection to God and from people who are like Him. Healthy relationships are the way we learn about who we truly are, about who we want to “be like” as we grow and mature.
The truth is, we are transformed most by who we love and who loves us, vs what we know!
Emulating someone we are in a secure relationship with is the surest, fastest way to become mature, wise, powerful and loving people. Is there anyone wiser, more loving, more powerful, more mature than God Himself? God the Son came to us in human form to show us the way to become the kind of people who can change the world we live in.
But the love of God will be perfected within the one who obeys God’s Word. We can be sure that we’ve come to live in intimacy with God, not just by saying, “I am intimate with God”, but by walking in the footsteps of Jesus. – 1 John 2:5,6 TPT
My musings take me to this conclusion: the answer for everything we are looking for is to:
BE LIKE JESUS!
